Biafine emulsion can be used to treat:
Erythema caused by radiotherapy; and
First- and second-degree (i.e. generally superficial) burns, as well as all other forms of uninfected skin damage.
How to use:
For dermal application.
To treat erythema caused by radiotherapy: use as directed by your doctor. As a guide, apply two or three times a day at regular intervals. Massage gently into the skin.
To treat second-degree burns other skin damage: consult your doctor urgently.
Clean the cut and apply thickly to the entire area. Repeat the application so that a certain amount of emulsion remains visible. If necessary, recover the cut with a wet-wrap dressing. (Do not use a dry, absorbent dressing.)
To treat first-degree burns: in case of extensive burns, consult your doctor urgently. Apply thickly until skin is saturated. Massage gently into the skin. Repeat between 2 and 4 times a day.

Ethylene glycol stearate, stearic acid, cetyl palmitate, solid paraffin, liquid paraffin, perhydrosqualene, propylene glycol, avocado oil, trolamine and sodium alginate, potassium sorbate, sodium methylparaben (E219), sodium propyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E217), fragrance (yerbatone), purified water.
WARNINGS:
If the burn is extensive or is accompanied by blistering; or if the cut is extensive or deep consult your doctor prior to use.
